Ernest De-Graft Egyir, Founding CEO of CEO Network Ghana, served as the Guest of Honour at the 12th Biennial Youth & Students’ Assembly (YASA) and the 40th Anniversary Celebration of the Cape Coast Diocesan Youth Development Ministry, where he challenged young people to embrace faith, integrity, and purposeful leadership.

Addressing the gathering on the theme “Raising a Responsible Generation by Walking in the Word”, Mr Egyir emphasized that the future of Ghana depends on a generation whose lives are firmly rooted in God’s Word and guided by strong moral values.During his address, he encouraged the youth to cultivate discipline, integrity, humility, and a clear sense of purpose, stressing that genuine leadership is built on character rather than popularity or outward appearance.

“While personality may open doors, character keeps them open. Lasting success is built on godly values, not merely on outward appearances,” he noted.

Mr Egyir further urged young people to become positive agents of change within their schools, churches, workplaces, and communities, reminding them that every generation has a responsibility to leave society better than it found it.

He also called on parents, church leaders, educators, and mentors to continue investing in the spiritual and moral development of the youth, describing their collective role as essential to raising future leaders who will positively shape Ghana, Africa, and the wider world.

The event formed part of the Diocese’s 40th Anniversary celebrations, bringing together youth, students, clergy, and church leaders for worship, fellowship, leadership development, and renewed commitment to Christian service.

Concluding his address, Mr Egyir expressed his appreciation to the organizers for the invitation and encouraged the youth to remain steadfast in their faith, believing that a generation grounded in God’s Word will become a powerful force for national transformation.
