Commissioning and Dedication of the 10-Seater Water Closet Toilet Facility
Saltpond Methodist “A” Basic School

The Rt. Rev. Richardson Aboagye Andam, Diocesan Bishop; distinguished clergy; the Municipal Chief Executive; the Municipal Director of Education; the Headmistress; teachers; invited guests; fellow old students; parents; and my dear pupils, good morning.
It is a great honour and privilege to stand before you today as an old boy of this great school. Returning to Saltpond Methodist Basic “A” School always fills me with gratitude because this is where my educational journey began. This school shaped my character, nurtured my dreams, and gave me the foundation upon which I have built my life and career.
Four years ago, I made a commitment to support and maintain my alma mater. Seeing the school continue to improve and regain its beauty has been a source of great joy. Today, by the grace of God, we are commissioning this ten-seater water closet toilet facility to provide a healthier and more dignified environment for both pupils and teachers.
This project is more than a building. It represents our collective belief that every child deserves to learn in a clean, safe, and respectful environment. Quality education is not only about classrooms and books; it is also about providing facilities that protect the health, well-being, and dignity of our children.
I give all the glory to Almighty God for making this possible. My faith has taught me that every blessing comes with a responsibility to serve others. Giving back is my way of thanking God for His goodness and demonstrating my commitment to the community that helped shape my life.
I also wish to express my sincere appreciation to the Methodist Church Ghana for its enduring contribution to education in our country. For generations, Methodist schools have produced leaders who continue to serve Ghana with distinction. I am proud to be one of the many beneficiaries of that rich legacy.
To the Headmistress, teachers, PTA, Local Manager, and everyone who supported this project, I say thank you. Your dedication to the growth of this school is truly commendable.
To my fellow old students, I encourage us all to remember where we came from. No contribution is too small when it is made with love. Together, we can continue to improve this school and create better opportunities for future generations.
To the pupils, I encourage you to study hard, respect your teachers, and take good care of this facility. Protect it, keep it clean, and use it responsibly. It has been built for your benefit and for those who will come after you.
As we commission this facility today, let it remind us that true success is measured not only by what we achieve for ourselves but also by the difference we make in the lives of others.
May God continue to bless Saltpond Methodist Basic “A” School, the Methodist Church Ghana, our teachers, our pupils, and our beloved nation, Ghana.
